Neil McCarthy, CEO

Mr. Neil McCarthy is the current Chief Executive Officer of World Urban Parks & Mosaic Insights. Neil's experience in parks and protected areas at both a national and international level spans over two decades. Neil is the winner of the prestigious World Urban Parks Distinguished Individual Award. He also holds his Certified International Park Professional Certification from the World Parks Academy. 

Neil's goal is to achieve leadership collaboration between park agencies to deliver the best service to the community and for humanity. His specialties include, but not limited to, natural resources management, community innovation, protected area and conservation management, urban park management, and innovation and creativity in park management.

Benjamin Jonah, Secretariat Coordinator

Benjamin Jonah is the current Secretariat Coordinator for World Urban Parks. Benjamin is part of the Alberta Recreation & Park Association (ARPA) team who are contracted as the World Urban Parks Secretariat. With ARPA Benjamin is a Project Coordinator where he leads such projects as the Recreation Industry Labour Market Scan of Alberta.

Benjamin Is currently finishing a Masters in Sport & Recreation Studies at the University of New Brunswick where he is focused on recreation policy implementation within Alberta municipalities.

Sandra V. Murillo-Morales, Social Media Officer

Sandra holds a Masters of Environment and Sustainability (MES) degree, and an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Applied Arts (Land Planning) from Canada. Additionally, she is a internationally trained Architect (B. Arch*). 

Her work experience includes practice in the public and private sector in Canada and South America working in parks planning and design, landscape master planning, and urban design and planning. She strongly believes that urban landscapes are fundamental infrastructure, necessary to ensure ecologically and socially equitable city planning. 

She proudly supports World Urban Parks! 

Richard O'Bryne, Strategic Advisor 

Richard provides expertise in strategic and land use planning, policy development, community consultation, as well as specialist training and evaluation for World Urban Parks. He works as a sole practitioner and in collaboration with other professionals. Richard is also an Associate with David Gaberial-Jones at The Public Land Consultancy and also works with Jennifer Lilburn at Kismet Forward, and Brett Cheatley at Brett Cheatley Consulting.
